			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This website was from the beginning meant to be my portfolio. Though lately, it went from that to a distrubution of free sound effects and so that I had made.<br />
I&#8217;ve decided to focus more on it being my portfolio and workspace\blog. The new area called Demos, is the first step towards a better portfolio and it&#8217;s an area where my audio demos are put, from voices to radio mixes. </p>
<p>I am still putting together everything for it and it will be pretty huge once I get there. As of now, the voice over I did for the video game Heroes of Newerth, is up to listen to and a radio ad for Animenfo radio.</p>
<p>I got various people contacting me asking about the links to various sound mods I&#8217;ve done.<br />
These links are down for good as I intend to no longer make sound packages directly for free. I will however make bigger sound packages that you can buy and there will of course be some free samples you can download.<br />
The music page will be updated soon with links fixed and new tracks. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Wow 2010 began really great. I got lots of fun and entertaining sound jobs in movies and radio.<br />
And not to forget, video games.</p>
<p>I did voice overs for two characters in a game called <a title="Heroes Of Newerth Website" href="http://www.heroesofnewerth.com/" target="_blank">Heroes Of Newerth</a>.<br />
The first and now also in the actual Beta of the game is the engineer.<br />
He was a fun character to try and do the voice for.<br />
Had to imagine what it would feel like to be constantly drunk and put that into a voice.</p>

<p>When it comes down to it, my sound work in movies been quite busy as well. Most of these films are not released in any forms for me to showcase it without getting in trouble with the respectful companies.<br />

Just recently, I released a sound package which is part of the sound library I am creating which is all royalty free. It is a part I call the grimoire of scrap. I also time to time do stuff pro bono and when I do, I always intend to give out what I create for free. Even though majority of the sound work I did in 2009 are lost forever, there are still some I was able to put into the sound package for people to use.<br />

Sadly, majority of the sounds got lost in a hard disc malfunction.</p>
<p>It contains lots of whooshes and stingers. There is also some palette sounds there which any sound designer can use to build his\her&#8217;s sound.</p>

<p>I also would like to point out that the sounds are &#8220;raw.&#8221;</p>
<p>There&#8217;s no sound mixing going on for the audio, so all the layers are playing simultaneously. Without some major EQ, compression and audio leveling.</p>
<p>Also, some of these sounds were NOT used in the final mix, I just thought it be more interesting to hear it all and how it was before the mixing magic happened.</p>
<p>I did do some additional sounds, but these are the major ones. All the missing audio (like footsteps and guns) were done by <a title="Hybrid Two" href="http://hybridtwo.com" target="_blank">Aaron Frensley.</a></p>
<p>Keep in mind that this is the BETA footage of the film. There are certain things in it which changed for the release.</p>
<p>It took awhile to finish the demo reel. I am no video editor and thus find it quite difficult and tedious to edit.</p>
<p>This is the demo reel for the sound effects I created for the <a title="Imdb" href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1543283/" target="_blank">Metal Gear solid: Philanthropy</a> movie which of course was made by the talented people in <a title="Hive Divisions website" href="http://www.hivedivision.net/" target="_blank">Hive Division.</a></p>
<p>The 8 minute demo reel shows the easiest design to the hardest.<br />
The opening credits happened to be the most challenging sound design I did. It took 2-3 weeks just to collect over 300 sounds and to then process them and use. I recorded fires, machines, elevators, doors, television and radio broadcasts, did sound effects with my voice and processed them. All sorts of crazy sounds.</p>
<p>Praetorian (I hope I spelled that right) Aka Metal Gear, had 8 different layers of machine creaks and groans and proved to be quite difficult.</p>
<p>The director wanted the MG to sound wounded, scared but dangerous.<br />
When it moved, it should sound like you knew it was around.</p>
<p>I used my dogs voice, my own, <a title="his website" href="http://luciendodge.com/" target="_blank">Lucien Dodge&#8217;s</a> voice, walrus, tigers, lions.<br />
Everything I could think of for it to sound  irritated, scared and dangerous.<br />
I also used a foghorn distorted as a &#8220;Here I am!&#8221; sound.<br />
One thing we were told was to not make it sound like the striders in Half Life 2 but more how the japanese do their robots. (IT&#8217;S GODZILLA!! I&#8217;m not implying the zilla is a robot.)</p>
<p>One thing you will notice is the original take with the oil rather than the steam.<br />
I liked the sound for the oil, which was me playing with mud, rather than the steam sound.</p>
<p>All in all, it was crazy fun to sound design for the movie. Here is for hoping for a sequel!</p></div>

<p>Now, in the absence of all these cool updates, I&#8217;ve been added to <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3701088/" target="_blank">imdb</a> as well which was a pleasant surprise.<br />
I&#8217;ve done lots of voices recently for many upcoming projects, and hope to have them viewable for all of you.<br />
Recently voiced for Ian Beckman&#8217;s <a href="http://www.soundwizardry.com/?p=403" target="_blank">ASV7</a>, it was great fun with enthusiastic direction.<br />
Currently busy with composing for <a href="http://olibith.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Olibith&#8217;s</a> new machinima, making an upcoming audio drama and developing new sound packages.<br />
I am also working on a sound design demo reel of the recent work from <a href="http://www.soundwizardry.com/?p=371" target="_blank">MGS:Philanthropy</a>. I hope to finish the editing of it soon.</p>

<p><span>Made up of the most evil of all of Azerothian&#8217;s evil villains, the &#8220;Azerothian Super Villains&#8221; are by the far the most evil and corrupt. Core members Illidan, Kael&#8217;thas, and Archimonde attempt at their evil plans of taking over the world every day! Will there plans come to fruition? Will they take over the world? Or will things simply become messed up as usual? Stay tuned!</span></p>
<p>In Episode 7, &#8220;Attack of the Morons,&#8221; Illidan doesn&#8217;t know what he has until its gone: Archimonde. After rediscovering his addiction to gaming, his want to take over the world is ruined. With the inclination by Akama to take power into his own hands and new foes entering the battlefield to overthrow Illidan, will the Super Villains triumph in their success to take over Azeroth once and for all?</p>

Today, we finished the last bits and pieces for the audio work of Metal Gear solid: Philanthropy, the non-budget fan movie.</p>
<p>Three years of overall production time has come to a close.  It was both challenging and great fun from beginning to end.</p>
<p>It has been a privilege to have worked on a movie with so much love for its lore and its fundamental characters.<br />
A great movie for fans by fans; hailing visual characteristics of the franchise to music and sound design.</p>
<p>At 27th September, you will be able to download the movie for free at <a href="http://www.mgs-philanthropy.net/" target="_blank">www.mgs-philanthropy.net</a><br />
Also, <a href="http://www.hivedivision.net" target="_blank">Hive division</a> are looking for subbers for the movie, you can go <a title="WHERE TO GET INFO FOR SUBBING" href="http://www.hivedivision.net/content/archives/143" target="_blank">Here</a> for any further information about subbing for them.</p>
<p>You will of course be able to watch the movie from my website once it is released.<br />
Also, look for a sound design demo reel for some of the audio that was produced for the movie.</p>
